This afternoon's white pride rally in Swansea passed-off without incident, say police.
Around 60 protesters gathered in the city for the event - to be
met by a counter-demonstration of some 400 anti-fascist campaigners.
The two side came togther outside the Waterfornt Museum - though the rival groups were kept well apart behind barriers.
For a tense hour the sides exchanges chants across the divide,
before the white pride marchers were put on to buses and driven away.
Tahar Idris, director of the Swansea Bay Racial Equality Council,
said: "The turn out here today sends out a clear message that people
trying to spread hate and division are not welcome in the city."
The white pride supporters had started gathering at Swansea train
station around midday, before being bussed to the designated protest
point at Museum Green at around 1.30pm. They were met aboutside the
museum by a large, and vocal, counter-demonstration.
South Wales Police superintendent Phil Davies said: "The policing
of today's white pride march was very successful, with no arrests and
no reported incidents of public order."
The rally coincided with a Blood and Honour gig due to be held in Swansea this evening.

Tahar Idris wants to tell the anti-fascists to keep away. The real men of hate.
