Oldham: 15 Asian Animals Attack 2 White Teens - Police say Not Racist

Two boys were robbed and beaten up by a gang of 15 teenagers. The victims aged 15 and 17 were attacked in Oldham. The boys are white and all of the gang were Asian but police said the incident was being treated as a robbery not a racist hate crime. The 15-year-old was hit in the face by one of the group before a number of them punched and kicked him to the ground and stole his ipod. The 17-year-old was punched in the face three times and both teenagers suffered facial injuries. Police said the attackers were all aged 15 to 17 and wearing dark clothing. The victims were walking along Glodwick Road towards Abbeyhills Road at 10pm on Saturday February 4th. Pc Craig Rice from the Volume Crime Team said: “This was an unprovoked and sustained attack on two teenagers that has left them shocked but, thankfully, not seriously injured. “I would appeal to anyone who may have walked or driven past the area at the time of the incident or who may have seen a large group of teenagers hanging around Glodwick Road to contact police.”
