Gay teenager guilty of murdering his friend: Killer facing life for stabbing the boy he claimed was blackmailing him over 'fling'

A gay teenager was yesterday found guilty of murdering a homosexual school friend who he claimed had been blackmailing him for sex.
Craig Roy, 19, stabbed 16-year-old Jack Frew 20 times and slashed his throat with a kitchen knife in secluded woodland.
The murderer had cheated on his long-term boyfriend with his victim in a school toilet and was plagued by guilt over his infidelity, a court heard.

Roy admitted stabbing Jack, but denied murder, claiming he had no memory of the incident and had only taken the knife with him to scare the schoolboy, who he described as 'a sex pest'.
His lawyers, who urged the jury to find him guilty of culpable homicide, also claimed he had a personality disorder which diminished his ability to control his actions.
But jurors at the High Court in Glasgow rejected his excuses and yesterday found him guilty of murder after less than 90 minutes of deliberation.
