A gay teenager was yesterday found
guilty of murdering a homosexual school friend who he claimed had been
blackmailing him for sex.
Craig Roy, 19, stabbed 16-year-old Jack Frew 20 times and slashed his throat with a kitchen knife in secluded woodland.
The
murderer had cheated on his long-term boyfriend with his victim in a
school toilet and was plagued by guilt over his infidelity, a court
heard.

His lawyers, who urged the jury to find him guilty of culpable homicide, also claimed he had a personality disorder which diminished his ability to control his actions.
But jurors at the High Court in Glasgow rejected his excuses and yesterday found him guilty of murder after less than 90 minutes of deliberation.
