AN ex-glamour girl has accused British National Party leader Nick Griffin of sexual harrassment.
Claudia Dalgleish says the far-right politician exposed himself to her after they shared a takeaway in her car.
The
South African-born activist – also known as Claudia Bryan – had been a
vocal member of the BNP for two years and was the girlfriend of its
London organiser Steve Squire.
But
the 40-year-old left the controversial organisation last December,
then revealed in an online blog: “A major problem was that Nick Griffin
was subjecting me to increasingly unwelcome attention. Initially I felt
flattered.”
The
model agency boss posted online a series of texts she claims were sent
to her by Griffin. One, dated September last year, says: “Do you know
the French side of the tunnel? And be aware that it’s very hot over here
so you don’t need to wear very much.”
A later message said: “That’s a given. As is checking that your legs feel as silky as they look.”
And
another said: “Will believe it when I see them. You’re just teasing.
Fits with your dominatrix tendencies. Wicked and cruel woman!”
When
confronted by the Daily Star Sunday, Dalgleish claimed Griffin had
exposed himself to her and asked her to perform a sexual act. She
refused.
The alleged incident took place after he had a car crash in France last September.
She
said: “He called me to come and get him. We went to an Indian takeaway
near Swanley. I got the food and he got into my jeep and we sat in a
car park and ate our curry.
“I gathered the rubbish up and went to put it in the bin.
“I
came back and found Nick Griffin with his…trousers down by his knees. I
was shocked and asked him what he was doing. I was disgusted. He was
excited. I ordered him out of the car. He is a sex pest.”
Claudia now fears the BNP has launched a smear campaign about her.
A
million people voted for them in the 2009 European elections but BNP
membership dwindled after a bungling performance by Griffin on the BBC’s
Question Time later that year, when he declared his support for the
racist organisation the Ku Klux Klan.
Griffin, 52 – who was at a BNP protest in Hyde, Greater Manchester yesterday – and his wife Jackie have four children.
Last night Griffin refused to respond to the Daily Star Sunday’s request for a comment.
